Celebrate Father's Day 2021

Jun 17, 2021

Father’s Day is coming up this Sunday, June 20th, bringing with it an excellent opportunity to truly show our appreciation for all the dads in our lives. Whether hanging out in person or sending love from afar, the most important thing is carving out time for those special father figures in our lives. But if you’re hoping to find new ways to celebrate the holiday that also take advantage of the great activities happening around The Shoreline this weekend...you’re in luck! Read ahead to check out some of the best ways for making dad’s day extra special this year.

Play a Round of Golf

If dad is a golf fan, there’s no shortage of top-notch courses in Miami to treat him to this Father’s Day weekend. Near The Shoreline, check out the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa Golf Course in Aventura. The resort boasts two 18-hole courses, both of which have hosted numerous championship golf tournaments. Learn more and reserve a tee time here.

Try Extreme Axe-Throwing

Located in downtown Miami, head to Extreme Axe Throwing for an adrenaline-pumping adventure sure to make dad’s day. Miami’s first and largest indoor throwing club, they welcome walk-ins and bookings for 1.5 hour sessions priced at $35 for adults and $25 for children. Take part in axe-throwing games and lessons, then relax afterwards with a beverage in the outdoor lounge. Find more info here.

Brunch at Le Zoo

After working up an appetite, head to upscale dining establishment Le Zoo in Bal Harbour for a delicious Father’s Day brunch. Enjoy a decadent French Mediterranean-inspired menu of fresh oysters and seafood, and brunch classics like eggs benedict and fluffy stacks of pancakes. The elegant setting is sure to make dad feel pampered on his special day! Be sure to reserve a table ahead of time here.

Take a Fishing Trip

For a little bonding time with dad in nature, explore the many spots Miami offers for a day of fishing. It’s possible to charter a boat in nearby Biscayne Bay, but there are also plenty of great places for fishing from land if looking to keep things simple and inexpensive. Right near the Shoreline, check out Oleta River State Park for ample fishing opportunities and beautiful hiking and bike riding trails to boot! Or head to Newport Fishing Pier in nearby Sunny Isles for a stretch of access to the Atlantic and a wide variety of sea life. For more info on fishing in Miami, visit this site.

Grab a Cold One

There’s nothing quite like an icy cold beer enjoyed in the warm Miami sunshine when dad is looking to slow things down a little. Stop by Cerveceria La Tropical in Wynwood for exceptional craft beer in a stylish tropical setting. Opened since February, the chic new brewery brings its Cuban roots to Miami with refreshing beers and a food menu of cerveza bites, tapas, and traditional Cuban and Caribbean dishes. Be sure to take advantage of their 20% off Father’s Day sale through June 20th.

We hope you have a fantastic weekend celebrating the dads in your life! From all of us at The Shoreline, Happy Father’s Day!
